LIRN Media & Brand Guidelines

Logo Family

The LIRN logo is the unique graphic symbol that distinguishes our organization from all others. Use of the logo should follow the guidelines outlined below so that we present a consistent image to our various audiences.

Standard Logo

The standard logo is the primary lockup for the LIRN brand. The entire mark is set in Dark Purple, except for the bottom fold of the ā€œL,ā€ which is set in LIRN Purple.

The logo should primarily be used in its full-color (LIRN Purple and Dark Purple) format when the background color is white.

Black Standard Logo

If the logo can only be used in black and white, an all-black version of the logo is available.

White Standard Logo

If the background color is dark or black, an all-white version of the logo is available.

Because our name is an acronym, there will be times when we need to show our logo locked up with the full name. We have a selection of set lockups when this is necessary.

The letters in these lockups have been typeset to optically retain symmetry. Do not adjust the letter spacing.

Clearspace

When we place other design elements too close to the logo family it can sometimes suggest a relationship between them. Think of the logo family as our signature. The more we keep it intact, the more recognizable and valuable it will be. To maintain the integrity of the LIRN identity, keep a fixed amount of open space around each logo to help it stand out.

An appropriate clearspace for the logo is equal to the height of the ā€˜I’ and proportional to the size of the logo being used.
