Thomas Tipsword, MLIS

Thomas Tipsword is a Founder of LIRN and has served on the board from LIRN’s inception. Prior to retirement he was LIRN’s Technical Director and CIO. He currently serves as Vice President and Secretary. His areas of expertise are technology, systems and business analysis, and libraries.

He worked for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University for over twenty years in various capacities. His previous employment includes the University of Georgia, the US Army Aviation Systems Command, and teaching for the Webster University Executive MBA program.

He previously served on the boards of the St. Louis and the Florida and Caribbean chapters of the Special Libraries Association, and the CLSI Eastern Region Users Group (a library system software group), where he was also Chair.
